Associate This is a file extension manager that works behind the scenes to protect your system from software that changes your file associations without your knowledge.

Associate This watches for changes to your file associations and allows you to block changes to all associations or configure individual extensions on a case-by-case basis. It gives you control over when and how you are notified of changes (or attempted changes) to associations. Associate This prevents young computer users or employees from making undesirable changes to Windows.

Associate This also provides the following features:

Open Tracker lets you re-open the last file you worked with using the program of your choice or configure Associate This to always ask which program to use with a particular file extension.

Integration with Windows lets you launch any file from Windows Explorer (or another file management program) and then select the program in which you want to view it from a pop-up menu. (This feature is indispensable for designers of web pages and other multimedia content that must be compatible with a variety of web browsers and media players.)

The Association Detective can search your computer for additional programs that can support the types of files you work with.

Backup and Restore allows you to save your file associations and restore them to a previous state in the event unwanted changes occur.

Associate This offers quick, one button access to many Associate This features as well as detailed information and additional configuration options for advanced computer users.

This Limited Use Software License Agreement (the "Agreement") is a legal agreement between you, the end-user ("Licensee") and the author ("Spearit Software") of this software package ("Associate This"). If you install and use Associate This, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, you may not install or use this software.

END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT

Associate This is a software program for managing file associations. As Licensee, you are allowed to download or otherwise acquire Associate This and install it on any computer(s) free of charge. Associate This is fully functional during the trial period of 30 days, after which point it will stop working. Purchasing a license for Associate This any time during or after the trial period will enable full functionality.

Associate This may be freely distributed as long as it is distributed in its entirety, including all program files and program documentation. Associate This may not be distributed through any means for a fee without the permission of Spearit Software. Any serial number that may be issued for purchase of Associate This may not be transferred.

Licensee may not alter this software in any way, including changing or removing any messages or windows. Licensee may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble or otherwise reduce this software to a human perceivable form. Licensee may not publicize or distribute any registration code algorithms, information, or registration codes used by this software without the written permission of Spearit Software.

By downloading, installing, using, copying, or distributing Associate This, Licensee agrees to abide by the copyright law and all other applicable laws including, but not limited to, export control laws, and the terms of this Agreement. Spearit Software shall have the right to terminate this Agreement immediately upon Licensee's breach of, or non-compliance with, any of its terms. Licensee may be held legally responsible for any copyright infringement that is caused or encouraged by Licensee's failure to abide by the terms of this Agreement.

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED TO LICENSEE "AS IS". ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED CONDITIONS, REPRESENTATIONS, AND WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, ARE DISCLAIMED, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT THAT SUCH DISCLAIMERS ARE HELD TO BE LEGALLY INVALID.

TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SPEARIT SOFTWARE'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO LICENSEE OR TO ANY THIRD PARTY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT, WHETHER FOR BREACH OR IN TORT, WILL BE LIMITED TO THE FEES PAID BY LICENSEE FOR SOFTWARE WHICH IS THE SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CLAIMS. IN NO EVENT WILL SPEARIT SOFTWARE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE IN CONNECTION WITH OR ARISING OUT OF THIS AGREEMENT (INCLUDING LOSS OF BUSINESS, REVENUE, PROFITS, USE, DATA OR OTHER ECONOMIC ADVANTAGE), HOWEVER IT ARISES, WHETHER FOR BREACH OR IN TORT, EVEN IF SPEARIT SOFTWARE HAS BEEN PREVIOUSLY ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE. LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES WILL BE LIMITED AND EXCLUDED, EVEN IF ANY EXCLUSIVE REMEDY PROVIDED FOR IN THIS AGREEMENT FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
